Tree-ditions Woodland Crafts School and Dan Puplett Nature Awareness have pooled resources and are delighted to announce John Rhyder, the UK’s only Cybertracker Evaluator (and one of only two in Northern Europe), is coming to East Lothian.

John will be undertaking the first ever Cybertracker evaluation to be held here in Scotland! This will hopefully be the first of many.

Cybertracker evaluations have become the international standard for evaluating and certifying wildlife trackers. The system was created in South Africa in 1994 by Louis Liebenberg who set out to identify those with exceptional skills amidst the steep decline in traditional tracking skills (The name derives from the digital system designed to assist the native people record their findings.)

In 2005 Mark Elbroch (author of Mammal Tracks and Sign) held the first evaluation in the USA. Since then the system has been adopted by numerous schools, state agencies and research teams. The system has travelled across the globe and is now well-established in Northern Europe.

These evaluations offer the chance to test your skills and learn a huge amount about tracking in a friendly and supportive environment.

The is a two day evaluation which will be held on the 20th and 21st of September 2018 in east, East Lothian in the East Linton area.

The cost is £200 per person. This is self catering.
